Flotsam, Guardian of Nowhere

Meet Flotsam, a Warforged of some slight renown on Eberron as the unofficial guardian of the neutral grounds island known as Nowhere. He appears briefly in the novel "Thieves of Blood", which is book #1 in the "Blade of the Flame" series.

I fell in love with the idea of Warforged when Wizards of the Coast first brought them onto the scene. Basically a trimmed-down and sentient golem, they were always a blast to play in my DnD games. 

I also love every warforged that appears in DnDs novels. Flotsam didn't have a big part in the book that he appeared inm but it was a memorable part. He punched a shark to death for crying out loud! You can still see the teeth marks on his left shin if you look hard enough. Those teeth incidentally got made into a neat bracelet for him later.

I took some liberties with this image, showing what Flotsam might have looked at during the height of the war, when he probably served as an underwater assault trooper. Since he doesn't need to breathe, he and his fellow warforged could just walk along the bottom Pirates of the Carribean-style and climb up the anchor rope/chain.
