Elithirien, The Keeper of Five

Behold Elithirien, also known as the Keeper of Five. The personal magic staff of the Witch of a Thousand Faces.

This staff, forged from magically hardened mithral, enhances many of the Witch spells to even higher levels, and while it is primarily meant to aid in magic casting, it's designed to also be perfectly serviceable as a melee weapon.

The four gems on the top of the staff each serves as a form of prison for an Elder Elemental; Earth, Water, Air, and Fire. While they enhance any spell cast by the wielder dealing with their respective element , their primary roles is to work in concert to keep the entity trapped in the gemstone floating in the center of the crown contained. What this entity actually *is*, as well as how the Witch came to be in possession of the gem, remains a very guarded secret, but considering the power of its "wardens", it is surely something best not released into the world.

The purple gem at the butt of the staff is deep crystal, a type of gem that can channel psionic energies to enhance its capabilities as a weapon.
